Whale Fall: The afterlife of a whale.

An exquisite cut-paper animation about the decay and proliferation of deepwater life on the dead body of a whale. The phenomenon, also termed a whale fall, is a massive boon for deep sea scavengers, which often have to rely from transported nutriments from somewhere else.

Directed by Sharon Shattuck and Flora Lichtman.
